Meth Check NZ provides on site independent Meth Testing Services in the greater Auckland area for home owners, real estate agents, commercial property owners, property investors, Auckland City Council or anyone who wants to be assured that their property has not been used for cooking or indulging in methamphetamine use.

Meth, also known as P or pure meth, crystal meth, whiz, ice, or crank is a growing problem in NZ. Not only is it devastating the lives of people who use meth, but also homes, businesses and vehicles used as P labs are being contaminated.

 

At Meth Check we:

  • Provide confidential, cost-effective methamphetamine tests sampling
  • Have a team of experienced certified police vetted testers
  • Provide a full written report on the level of contamination should your property test positive for methamphetamine
  • Are affiliated with Hills Laboratories (IANZ) Quality standard NZS/ISO/IEC 17025:2005 www.hill-laboratories.co.nz 
  • If your test results come back positive, we can recommend to you independent decontamination companies who specialise in cleaning properties which test positive over the new NZ standards 8510
  • Provide peace of mind that your home, business or vehicle is free of contamination


At Meth Check we have implemented the new NZ standards 8510.

All our testing and sampling techniques are NIOSH compliant.

As of 29th June 2017 when the NEW NZ standards were released. The new standards have gone up to 1.5µg for all common areas including garaging.

Lab-based testing

All our samples are tested at Hills Laboratories, ensuring a thorough, independent test, which is extremely accurate. The report includes a quantitative result for every area of the property. This provides details on where the highest contamination levels are so appropriate action can be taken.

Meth Check was started in response to a personal experience of buying a property which had been used as a Meth Lab. Meth Check’s owner bought a rural property which was 5 years old and had been a rental for 2 years. It had been used as a meth lab and was no longer fit for habitation. Having a meth check prior to buying the property would have saved many thousands of dollars and prevented a great deal of anxiety and heartache.
